Washes go well in Longford

Tuam AC is celebrating other great results in the last week including Seamus Walsh 3h 38min Marathon in Longford. Seamus had trained well for this race and was in good shape and had reached 20 miles in 2h 30 mins. Everything was looking good but as all marathon runners know anything can happen in the later stages of a marathon and injury struck with only 5 miles to go. Seamus was in severe pain but he is as tough as they come and was determined to finish the race and ran through the pain barrier to finish in a very impressive time. Sharon Walsh also competed in the half marathon and ran a fine race finishing in 1h 50 mins and they are both looking forward to the Dublin Marathon next month.
