Tuam AC had a great weekend at Jog in the Bog as two of our legends took part in the Super 6 race which consisted of 9km running 51km bike and 2km kayak. Steven Brady was in superb form and finished inside the top ten and won the O 40 category and was delighted to receive his trophy from fellow runner and well known politician Luke ‘Ming’ Flanagan TD who had traveled to Clooninagh on Saturday with the intention of taking part in the race but injury prevented him from doing so. Steven was followed by the one and only John Brinn who knocked a massive 30 mins off last year’s time despite this year’s course being tougher. They were both delighted with their results in what is truly a great event and everybody in Tuam AC would like to congratulate and thank David Quinn and his massive crew of volunteers for staging the event and we all hope to be back in Clooninagh in 2012.
Good Luck to all of our members who are taking part in Jog in the Bog on Saturday. This is a super event and all you need is a pair of runners and a bike. David Quinn and his crew will take care of the rest and entries are still available so get in quick before it is too late at www.joginthebog.ie
