The Headford8k Charity Road Race takes place on July 7th 2012 at 7PM in the town of Headford, Co. Galway. Now in it’s 8th year, this annual event goes from strength to strength and is very popular with the running community and very well received in Headford town. Last year’s event had over 250 finishers on the evening, all proceeds from the event go to Galway based charities providing services to children with Intellectual Disabilities. Monies raised are used to provide extra items such as play items for playgrounds, sensory equipment and musical instruments. The event has raised over €20,000 in the past few years.
