Enda Wins the Corofin 8K

We are absolutely delighted to report that Enda Mannion won the Corofin 8k Road Race on Sunday. We all knew this day was coming as Enda has been in great form for the last few months and he just keeps getting stronger with each race. He ran extremely well in the recent 5k races and he had plenty of speed left in his legs to secure victory on Sunday. This victory along with his recent 2nd place in the Connemara Half Marathon has established Enda as one of the top road runners in Co Galway and has put Tuam AC firmly back on the map as a force to be reckoned with. We would also like to congratulate Ann Marie Miskell who ran a great race in Corofin on Sunday and with all the excitement of the 5k series recently we didn’t hear about her outstanding run at The West of Ireland women’s mini marathon which took place in Castlebar on the May Bank Holiday. Ann Marie finished in 4th place overall out of almost 3000 runners in the 10k event and ran a very impressive 40 minutes. She won her category and is now looking forward to a great summer of racing. There was a number of other Tuam AC members in action in Corofin and they are all looking forward to the 5k race in Craughwell on Tuesday.
