30 under 30

A friend of mine commented on the quality of the field we had, and I'm just after checking the results. We had 30 runners under 30 minutes which is a great reflection of the calibre of runners who joined us in Tuam on Sunday.

Great route (much better than the 2 laps of the town in previous years). Really enjoyed it and will be back. Tea and Coffee Q's meant we could not hang about, but overall a great race

An absolutely FANTASTIC day's racing in Tuam yesterday. Many thanks to Brendan and all at Tuam AC for putting on such a tremendous event over a new course that worked out very well. The weather of course was an additional bonus but the huge numbers who turned out says it all really. Great job!

Well spotted Martina - thanks for keeping us on our toes!

The race is for any child up to U-16 level, so children in the 4-7 range would definitely be most welcome. The distance is approximately 1km. You can see more information about it here.

Please note that entries for the childrens run closes at 1PM and the run itself starts at 1:30PM sharp.

RunIreland mention a Junior Fun Run before the 2.30 race but I can't see it mentioned on your website - just wondering what age range it's for and what distance it is i.e., is it suitable for kids aged 4-7?

I am delighted that such active participation is taking place by members of the community at such a difficult national level. i would like to commend your efforts at putting Tuam on the map as contributors to the national marathons and i wish you every success in the future.
